60 D Street is the formula sailors use for dead reckoning their position when there are no landmarks.

If you are going to do therapy you should be dead reckoning your progress towards your goal. Thus, the navigation formula as the practice name.
If you are not measuring your progress towards your therapy goal all you are doing is sailing around in circles
(don't do that).
Therapy: why?
Why tell a stranger all the painful awful stuff that has happened to you and why you feel awful, and your life sucks and nothing is working?
Therapy: this is why.
Words are the conveyor belt that carries all the bad awful stuff up and out of your soul. No conveyor belt equals no relief.

And, let's be honest. If you don't do something different than what you are doing right now nothing is going to change and everything is going to continue to suck.

So, do something.
I am a clinical psychologist most recently from Washington DC.
Prior to becoming a psychologist I was an enlisted member of the U.S. Coast Guard (Boatswain's Mate in case you care). I used to drag people out of the water and throw them up on the beach and tell them to not get into the water.
As a clinical psychologist I now stand on the beach and help people not get into the water.
Same job; the new version is less gnarly than the old version and a lot less likely to get me drowned.
Previous experience:
I was the attending psychologist to Washington D.C.'s police and firefighters at their specialized clinic. I managed the aftermath of lethal and near lethal experiences for police and fire.
(note: the officers involved in the insurrection of 6JAN were my patients)
Training:
Post-doctoral residency: St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, D.C. (severe mental illness and behavior change programming)
Clinical internship: Western State Hospital in Tacoma, WA. (rotations in severe mental illness/behavior change programming, neuropsychology, and violent sexual predators)
